Philosophy of Residence Life

Community is essential to the Christian experience. Residence Life at Emmanuel Bible College provides the opportunity for students to live in intentional community with one another. In that community, the desire of the residence staff is to see students live out in practical ways what it means to be a part of the body of Christ.

Students begin to discover: their gifts; their strengths and weaknesses; conflict resolution, and time management. They learn what it means to love one another. The community itself is designed to be a safe place to explore the big questions of life, as well as develop social skills. The goal is that once a student completes his/her time in the residence halls he/she is able to take the principles learned, and share them with others, that more and more may know the joy of community, and experience the body of Christ in deeper and more meaningful ways. In that way, students will become followers of Christ who think, live, serve, and lead in the body of Christ and in the world.
