Campus Update – April 2019

Exciting changes are taking place at Emmanuel Bible College this summer! Work is now underway to sever the portion of the property we sold for residential redevelopment.

You may have noticed some new fencing along Fergus Avenue. We no longer have access to the lower parking lot and have begun clearing space to expand the upper lot. This will ensure we have enough space to accommodate our students, visitors, staff and faculty.

As part of the severance to create the two separate properties, work on creating separate utility service for both properties is underway and will be completed in the next few months.

A particularly exciting project starting this summer will address our kitchen needs. Over the past year, we have been preparing meals in the Campus Centre and bringing the food over to Sherk (rain or shine!) to serve from the Wildcat Café. As we move out of the Campus Centre, renovations will soon be underway to install a brand new kitchen in the Sherk building. The Wildcat Café will continue to function as the front end of the kitchen.

Bobby, our Director of Facilities, has been working hard to clear out the workshop space in the Campus Centre and is now very pleased to be moved into a dedicated storage unit located between the Library and the Warder residence. It’s roomy and secure!

Over the next few months, we will also be starting the second phase of renovations to our Warder residence. We are looking forward to providing improved housing for students living on campus.

Thank you for your prayers and support during this period of change and growth. We are excited about the progress we have made so far and look forward to all that God has in store for the college. Stay tuned!
