Preparing women and men to think, live, serve and lead in the Church and in the world.

August 19, 2014—Emmanuel Bible College partners with Bethany Community Church

Emmanuel Bible College is pleased to announce it has entered into a partnership agreement with Bethany Community Church of St. Catharines, Ontario, in support of ECHO. ECHO is a 10-month discipleship and leadership program that takes education beyond books and classes, giving high school graduates unique opportunities for personal development and global engagement. The program is designed to prepare participants for a life of ministry.

Bethany youth pastor and Emmanuel alumni Martin Nieuwets comments, “We’re excited to partner with EBC to provide this life shaping opportunity for young adults in the Niagara Region. It’s because of EBC’s commitment to excellence and training the local church that we’re eager to see what the future holds.

Students of Echo will complete four courses in Bible Interpretation, Leadership, Global Mission, and Ethics; with all courses being taught by Emmanuel faculty on location at Bethany Community Church. Academic Dean Dr. Stephen Roy notes “this is a fantastic opportunity for the college to work cooperatively with a local church that is serious about training and preparing a generation of people for a life of service and ministry in the Kingdom of God.”
