October 1, 2014—EBC expresses deepest sympathies on the passing of Emeritus Professor Raymond Priddle

Emmanuel extends its sympathies to the family and friends of former college Academic Dean, Rev. Ray Priddle, who passed away on September 30, 2014.

Rev. Priddle joined the college faculty in 1972 having served as a pastor from 1946 to 1972. His post-secondary education began at Emmanuel when he graduated as one of the first graduates with a certificate in 1945.

He went on to earn degrees from the University of Toronto and Central Baptist Seminary and studied at the Institute of Holy Land Studies in Israel. He taught in the area of Old Testament and Hebrew language and served as a teaching faculty, Academic Dean, and Registrar of the college.

Prior to joining the faculty he also served on the Emmanuel Board of Governors as a member for many years. Rev. Priddle retired in 1996 and lived close by at Emmanuel Village. The Emmanuel community marked his service to the college by conferring upon him the title of Professor Emeritus at the time of his retirement. We are thankful to the Lord for Rev. Priddle's long life and faithful ministry.

Visitation will be held at Faith Evangelical Church, 3849 King Street East Kitchener on Saturday October 4th at 12:30 to 1:45. The service will follow at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made for a Memorial Scholarship fund in Ray and Hazel's memory at Emmanuel Bible College.

May The Lord Bless you and keep you, may he make his face to shine upon you and bring you peace....Well done thy good and faithful servant.
