Job Description

Organizational Relationships The Youth Pastor will develop a well documented youth ministry plan and goals which will provide the focus and allow the Youth Pastor the autonomy to be creative and minimize the time commitment of the Lead Pastor. The plans and goals of a Youth Pastor will receive support from, Lead Pastor and the Board. The Board provides counsel and support on personal and/or confidential matters, and on annual evaluation and salary issues Reporting relationships The Youth Pastor reports to the Lead Pastor with regard to day-to-day ministry and direction and monthly to the board Qualifications The position requires an organized, visionary person, preferably with an undergraduate degree who evidences the spirit-filled life (character as per Timothy 3:1-7), and who has proven ability in the youth leadership ministry role. The person must be a team player, who believes the essentials and ministry of the Evangelical Missionary Church. Almaguin EMC is committed to a two year term for a part-time position which includes a 6 month probation period with a review followed with an 18 month period. General Responsibilities The Youth Pastor has primary responsibility for the youth ministry programs of the church, including junior high, high school. This involves giving leadership of ministry program and volunteers of youth Specific Responsibilities 1. Provide spiritual leadership ,carry the vision for the youth ministry of Almaguin Church, by equipping and supporting all related volunteer workers 2. Ensure parents, teens and church, are informed of major developments related to the youth ministry. 3. Keep Up to date records of all staff and students by being part of plan to protect committee 4. Provide teaching and pastoral care to youth 5. Keep alert to youth ministry trends, resources, conferences and functions of the denomination and local network of youth leaders 6. Maintain discipling relationships 7. Participate in regular board meetings 8. Participate in public services of the church as scheduled 9. Facebook and website maintenance 10. Community involvement


Salary: $14,000 to $14,000
