Job Description

An opportunity for a student who is passionate and committed to working with at risk youth to gain hands-on experience. Youth Intern for CityYouth, a CityKidz program for youth 12-15 years old. CityYouth is a program that exists to encourage at-risk youth to increase resiliency, inspire dreams and equip youth to serve as leaders within CityKidz Saturdays and their community by providing inspirational experiences and nurturing personal relationship.


• The Youth Intern is required to attend each Wednesday night and Saturday Program to offer leadership to the youth. • Working alongside the Coordinator of CityYouth, the Youth Intern is required to prepare talks around the outlined CityYouth curriculum. During some of the Wednesday night programs, the Youth Intern will have an opportunity to lead large group talks and/or be a mentor in small group discussions. • The Youth Intern is responsible for organizing the logistics for a Wednesday night (i.e. scheduling youth mentors, shuttles, setting up small group areas, purchasing supplies, etc…) • During our CityKidz Saturday Program, the Youth Intern will supervise our Junior Leaders (youth volunteers) in their areas of responsibility, as well as assist in the coordination of the shuttle busses to pick up the youth for their volunteering.
