BIC Canada is helping to develop young adults in spiritual formation and leadership development all summer long. It’s open to any young adult between the ages of 18-25. REGISTER FOR ANY AND ALL 4 of Development Days & the 3 Retreats. You can come to as many as you’d like! ---DEVELOPMENT DAYS--- Find Your Flow DEVELOPMENT DAY: Monday, May 29 On this day you’ll learn : 1) How The FLOW Theory will impact how you see your future. 2) Discovering how focusing on your unique strengths (and not your weaknesses) actually improves teams. 3) Learning what your spiritual gifts are and what it all might mean for your leadership. 4) Processing your personality through the DISC inventory. Go with God. Grow with God DEVELOPMENT DAY: Monday, June 19 On this day you’ll learn: 1) Discovering your unique spiritual pathway of how you best connect with God- and how we're all different. 2) A new experiment with 'daily devos' and how to hear God speak. 3) Break out experiences with seasoned leaders and peers with open Q & A Build a Better Story DEVELOPMENT DAY: Monday, July 10 On this day you’ll learn: 1) What makes life really meaningful and how to go after it with courage and gusto! 2) The importance of knowing what the right roles are for you to play 3) How to set some goals for the upcoming fall and a trick to stick with your plans! 4) How leaders learn to mourn losses well in order to see a redemptive perspective in suffering and help others. 5) Your story as a subplot in God's grand story and how living it well inspires others to do the same. Dream.Dare.Do DEVELOPMENT DAY: Monday, August 14 On this day you’ll learn: 1) What every leader needs to have to lead well when times get tough. 2) DREAM: we'll spend time learning why big ideas are so important for our 21st century lives. 3) DARE: we'll hear from guests who have risked it all and find out what they learned in the process. 4) DO: we'll dive into some incredibly practical, yet nitty-gritty "must-do's" every leader needs to practice. ----RETREATS---- The Other Side of Privilege RETREAT: Monday – Tuesday, June 19-20 THIS RETREAT WILL FOCUS ON OUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY AS GLOBAL CITIZENS WITH A KINGDOM VISION FOR BEING GOOD STEWARDS AND NEIGHBOURS. Leaders must be globally minded and cultivate understanding that leads to compassion & action. $30/ participant. Limited space available. Embrace the Mystery RETREAT: Monday – Tuesday, July 10-11 THIS RETREAT IS DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE PARTICIPANTS TO CONTEMPLATIVE SPIRITUALITY. USING ANCIENT CHRISTIAN PRACTICES, WE'LL EXPERIENCE GOD IN A NEW WAY. Leaders know that "being" must come before "doing" and prioritize their connection with Christ. $30/ participant. Limited space available. First Steps with First Nations RETREAT: Friday- Saturday, July 21-22 THIS RETREAT IS DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE PARTICIPANTS TO THE STORY OF FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE IN CANADA AND THE HEALING PROCESS OF RECONCILIATION THAT IS REQUIRED. Leaders are willing to learn hard things that require wisdom, humility, courage and tenacity and lean into peaceful resolutions. $30/ participant. Limited space available.
