Emmanuel was founded by the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada and currently has board representation from the EMCC, Congregational Christian Churches in Canada, United Brethren Churches in Canada and the Brethren in Christ Churches in Canada. The EMCC, UBCIC and CCCC each have a covenant agreement with the college.
